Even when our worlds fall apart, we can always rely on our mothers to keep us from falling apart, never once faltering for not getting the praise or attention that they deserve. Throughout the entirety of our lives, they were always cheering us on from the sidelines, holding our hands as we tread through life.
We grew up marveling at the superheroes on screens, running around with makeshift capes that hung from our small shoulders wanting to become just like them someday, never once realizing the real superheroes that were chasing after us with a small dollop of food in their hand.
Their love, unrivaled and irreplaceable, surrounds us like a protective shield, safeguarding us even in their absence. A sense of calm descends upon us even at the mere thought of them. That feeling is indescribable.
As the world tilts on its axis due to the virus, every family houses an unsung hero that is working hard to keep us safe in a way that no one else can. Bringing about a sense of normalcy in our homes, and creating a seamless transition to this new life that we are forced to live. Recognizing the need to stay calm, even at the brink of destruction.
With Mother’s Day right around the corner, Teleflora released its campaign for the occasion as a tribute to all the mothers across the globe. This campaign tells a beautiful story about how the mothers are helping their children survive this pandemic so that they can get through this unscathed. The execution and the storytelling was spot on, making it a very emotional video that fills your heart with immense gratitude.
This is just a small example of the lengths they go through for us. When our mothers don’t wait for a specific day to shower us with love and affection, why should we wait for Mother’s Day to roll around so that we can express our gratitude with a measly card? Granted, no amount of flowers or words will ever measure up to how much they have sacrificed for us, but there’s so much that we can do to make life a little better for them. They might not ask for much, but they deserve the world.
