Recently, PepsiCo Bangladesh made an alliance with Brac to give over 1.4 million meals to deprived families. In particular, ultra-poor families affected by coronavirus pandemic across Bangladesh. Under the circumstances, Brac said a press release, that it will be the on-field implementation partner to provide dry rations. With this intention, Brac will collaborate with the local administration including law enforcement authorities.

The country manager of PepsiCo Bangladesh, Debasish Deb said, “Bangladesh, like the rest of the world, is facing its biggest healthcare challenge. Thus, we are partnering with Brac to provide meals to the most affected communities due to the pandemic.”

Debasish Deb also added, ” PepsiCo Bangladesh is adding full support to the Government of Bangladesh. In order to fight against the corona pandemic. Besides, we will do our best to serve the nation at such hard times.”

In due time, executive director of Brac, Asif Saleh stated,

Millions of daily wage earners have been hit hard by the economic aftermath of the pandemic. Brace found in a survey that 14% of low-income families do not have food at home. Therefore, The generous meals support from PepsiCo Bangladesh is a timely and fitting solution for crisis food sustenance.

As an illustration, Brac has already initiated a cash assistance program supporting 300,000 families to buy essential food supplies. However, the need is far greater. Thus, PepsiCo’s help will assist them with contacting progressively powerless individuals at this crucial time. In particular, Brac will continue to prioritize the most vulnerable. For instance, the elderly, pregnant or new mothers, people with disabilities, women-headed households. As well as, people living in ultra-poverty and those who are not receiving support from any other sources.

All things considered, PepsiCo Foundation globally announced its commitment to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Correspondingly, the major focus of this effort includes providing 50 million meals across countries through various partnerships.
