Bangladesh’s manufacturing sector is soon going to step up another ladder in the global community. Samsung has decided to manufacture its current principle products Samsung Note20 and Note20 Ultra Edge in Bangladesh. This will definitely put the country on the global radar. The South Korean tech giant has released its flagship products on August 5, 2020.

Manufacture in Bangladesh
Fair Electronics, Samsung’s in-house assembly partner is going to shoulder the manufacturing responsibilities. The newly launched devices will have state-of-the-art cellular technology. The fifth-generation technology will allow lower response-rates, faster internet connection, and connectivity with more devices.
Fair Electronics has already started assembling Samsung’s products since last year. The 30 acres assembly line in Narsingdi will manufacture the latest products. The newly assembled products will hit the market around September 2020. Reportedly, Fair Electronics will add value up to 26%-27% to the 5g-enabled technology.

Bangladesh has already experienced the manufacturing journey of world-class Samsung products, with Galaxy Note10+. But until now, all the devices assembled in the country have been 4G-enabled. With Bangladesh’s planned to shift into 5G by 2021, Note20, and Note20 Ultra 5G is just another stepping stone. Due o the local assembly, the import prices will nullify. If we would have imported the same device, it would cost us around 35,000 BDT more.

Currently, the price of the new flagship products is set to be around 135,000 BDT. If the customers pre-order they will get a discount of 15,000 BDT. Furthermore, an exchange of a Samsung product will result in a price waiver of another 10,000 BDT.

Note20 Ultra 5G
The latest Note20 Ultra 5G comes with all the exquisite features. The 6.9-inch device comes in versatile elegant colors of mystic bronze and black. The price of Note20 is 99,000 BDT. Upon pre-booking, the price will come down to 80,000 BDT. If exchanged with another used Samsung device, the customers will enjoy a cut of another 10,000 BDT, plus the price of the second-hand product.
The initial pre-order campaign was set from August 14, till the 20th. But, customers can still pre-order their desired device from www.note20preorder.com. Furthermore, they can also pre-order from online shops of Robi, GP, Banglalink, Evaly, Daraz, and Pickaboo.
As for Samsung’s decision of investing in Bangladesh, the South Korean tech giant says,
“Samsung has full confidence in Fair Electronics and this dispelled the general notions that the country can’t make world-class products.”
