Photos in Gmail can now be transferred to Google Photos1 min read

Google is rolling out a new “save to photos” button to directly save photos from Gmail to Google photos. It is applicable for files with JPEG format only, ruling out the PNG format files.

The update arrives at a crucial time while users can make the most of their Google Photos unlimited free storage as according to reports, Google Photos will only be free for up to 15GB of storage from June 1st.

Users can purchase extra storage if required, the pricing stars from $2 for 100 GB of extra storage.

However, all photos and videos uploaded before June 1st will not count towards the cap.
