Online media has changed the way we live our lives. Starting from news to look for a new product to the basic interaction with our close ones, we all depend on the online media platforms. This online medium of communication has made our life so easy that we often give this convenience more priority than our privacy and end up sharing sensitive information online for some silly gains. Countryโ€™s leading telecom giant Grameenphone has recently launched two humorous campaigns to aware its users about the importance of online safety.

Conceptualized by Magnito Digital, the two spots took the sarcastic approach to let the audience figure out how it would be like if we share our sensitive information in real life the way we do through online.

The first one showcased the story of a fake profile communicating with a young woman in real life wearing a horse mask. Now, we would have a certain trust issue if someone unknown wearing a mask had a face to face conversation with us. But most often, we end up trusting a person online just by their fancy chatting skills. With this AV, Grameenphone and Magnito both wanted us to be more aware of who we are trusting online and double check before having a serious bonding with them.

Check out the AV here:

The second AV is even more sarcastic. The spot showcased a woman sharing all the sensitive information regarding her home like the location of spare keys, jewelry, ATM cards and so on with her neighbors before leaving for a vacation. Now, in real life this would never be the case. But, how often we have shared our personal email address and other personal information just to get a coupon for free- I say more than once.

So, Grameenphone and Magnito both had one question- Why do we share our sensitive information online without precautions, when we would have never done it in real life?

Have a look:

Both the AVs finishes with an ending note that states- โ€œเฆ‡เฆจเงเฆŸเฆพเฆฐเฆจเง‡เฆŸเง‡เฆฐ เฆฆเงเฆจเฆฟเงŸเฆพเงŸ เฆœเฆพเฆจเฆคเง‡ เฆนเฆฌเง‡, เฆ•เง‹เฆฅเฆพเงŸ เฆ†เฆชเฆจเฆพเฆฐ เฆฅเฆพเฆฎเฆคเง‡ เฆนเฆฌเง‡เฅคโ€œ-meaning โ€˜In the world of Internet, you have to know where to stop.โ€
