Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) secured the coveted gold award in the general banking category at the 10th ICSB National Award 2022 for Corporate Governance Excellence, with the ceremony taking place at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel. This achievement, celebrated last Saturday, stands as a significant milestone for EBL and underscores the bank’s steadfast dedication to maintaining outstanding corporate governance standards.
EBL was singled out for its outstanding corporate governance standards, transparency, and accountability across all facets of management. The gold award was presented to Ali Reza Iftekhar, the Managing Director and CEO of EBL, by Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, in recognition of the bank’s commitment to best practices in corporate governance.
