On their latest update, Instagram and Facebook users will be able to hide the number of likes on their posts from the public.
Instagram and Facebook users will now have the option to hide the like counts on all of the posts in their feed as well as the like counts in their own posts. The public may still see which accounts liked the posts.
The Instagram and Facebook team has been working closely with third-party experts in coming up with the update. They understand the number of likes indicates the popularity of posts hence some users may not find it useful while other users may feel more comfortable with the option.
Users will now have greater control over their experience and may choose the option which better suits their agenda.
