Netflix plans to add games within next year1 min read

According to a Bloomberg report, the video streaming giant Netflix is planning to expand its services by introducing video games no later than the next year. The company hired Mike Verdu, former EA and Facebook executive as the project lead.

Netflix’s video game expansion will be added alongside the company’s current selections – “similar to what Netflix did with documentaries or stand-up specials”. Games will not charge any extra bucks from the users as well, as per reports by Bloomberg.

Previously in May, a Netflix spokesperson told Polygon that the company is excited to do more with interactive entertainment.
