The issuance of the license as a principal member solidifies Mercantile Bank’s position in the financial landscape, enabling it to leverage Mastercard’s extensive network and innovative solutions. The official ceremony, held at the bank’s headquarters, saw Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager of Mastercard, presenting the license to Morshed Alam, MP, Chairman of Mercantile Bank.

Amidst an atmosphere of anticipation and enthusiasm, Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, Managing Director of Mercantile Bank, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, underscoring the significance of the partnership in elevating customer experience and expanding market reach. This collaboration paves the way for Mercantile Bank to offer a spectrum of enhanced payment facilities to its customers worldwide, complementing its existing VISA card services. Notably, customers will benefit from seamless ATM and POS transaction capabilities globally, wherever Mastercard is accepted.
