Facebook to introduce Podcast integration in Facebook pages.1 min read

Facebook is moving to the next stage by providing more monetization tools for creators, as they plan to introduce podcast integration tools to Facebook pages on June 22nd. This means users will now be able to listen to podcasts directly streaming in Facebook, while podcasters can promote their content directly in app.

Facebook page owners will be able to connect their podcast’s RSS feed into their Facebook Page, automatically generating connected and playable News Feed posts for all episodes published and moving forward, as per reports by The Verge.

In addition, a new podcast tab on pages may be launched although it is not confirmed yet. Facebook is contacting selected Pages now in regards to the coming podcast update.

According to reports by the Verge, Facebook’s podcast terms of service reveal that creators will also be able to create and share less than a minute short clips of their podcasts in the app. This will provide better promotion opportunities, possibly leading to a rise in listenership.
