Cosmetica Dhaka draws crowds as second day gets underway
Following a strong response on its opening day, the second day of โCosmetica Dhaka 2026โ, an international exhibition featuring cosmetics, skincare and personal care products, got underway today as stated in the Press Release.
Visitors began arriving before the exhibition opened on the second day, which coincided with a public holiday, and entered the venue throughout the morning. The exhibition also drew a notable number of visitors on its opening day on Thursday.
The three-day exhibition was inaugurated on Thursday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital by Foreign Affairs State Minister Shama Obaed Islam. At the inaugural ceremony, she called for the cosmetics and personal care industry to be developed beyond an import-dependent market into a sector with greater opportunities for local production, exports and domestic and foreign investment.
On the opening day, the exhibition venue saw a steady flow of visitors interested in products from different brands. Alongside cosmetics and personal care products from various countries, the exhibition featured live demonstrations, beauty consultations and activities related to skincare. Networking opportunities were also arranged for businesses and entrepreneurs.
Similar activities are being held on the second day, including product and service showcases, live demonstrations, beauty consultations and business networking sessions.
This yearโs Cosmetica Dhaka features companies from 16 countries, including Bangladesh, South Korea, Thailand, India, the United States, France, Singapore, China and Japan. More than 100 stalls are showcasing cosmetics, skincare, hair care, fragrances, grooming and personal care products, as well as related technologies and services.
S M Faisal Munim, CEO of SquadMind Global Limited, the organiser of the exhibition, said, โWe are pleased to organise Cosmetica Dhaka for the second time. We received a positive response from local and international exhibitors, visitors and businesses on the first day. We want Cosmetica Dhaka to go beyond being a product showcase and become a platform for creating meaningful connections among entrepreneurs, brands and businesses in the sector.โ
He said, โBangladeshโs cosmetics, skincare and personal care sector has significant potential. This potential can be harnessed through new investment, technology and international partnerships. Cosmetica Dhaka aims to create opportunities in these areas.โ
A panel discussion titled โIndustry Talk: The Future of Beauty in Bangladeshโ is scheduled for the second day of the exhibition. The session will be moderated by S M Faisal Munim, CEO of SquadMind Global Limited, and will feature representatives from the sector, including local and international participants.
Actress Sabila Nur, Shabnam Faria and several other public figures are expected to visit the exhibition on the second day. On the opening day, the presence of model and actress Athoi also drew interest among visitors.
The organisers expect the exhibition to contribute to attracting new investment, facilitating technology transfer and creating international partnerships in Bangladeshโs cosmetics and personal care industry.
