Broadband connections reached over 1 crore mark for the first time in June driven by the reliance on internet due to work from home and remote learning usage in this pandemic.
The internet broadband connections increased by 18% YoY compared to same period last year. Broadband connections growth mainly started from the pandemic. Before the pandemic started, In February’20 there were 57 lakh broadband subscribers (76% growth since pandemic).
