Astha Lifestyle | Country’s 1st Ever Digital Banking Super-App Launched By Brac Bank2 min read
Brac Bank has introduced Astha Lifestyle, a digital banking super app, for the first time in the Bangladesh banking industry. With the launch, the all rounder Astha app will provide a complete lifestyle solution for Brac Bank clients from a single app.
Initially, Astha App’s super app will include Astha Play, an OTT Entertainment platform with exclusive early access content. Moreover, Astha Music – Bangladesh’s largest music and podcast platform with over one lakh entertainment content. Astha Islamic – developed with Islamic services based on Quran and Hadith. Astha Learning – Bangladesh’s first digital banking learning platform with academic and professional learning classes. Astha Travel- is a travel service created for the Astha super app.
Brac Bank’s Digital Banking Platform Astha app has transformed from a digital banking app to a digital convenience platform in less than two years. The bank’s goal is to disrupt digital banking and improve client experience. Brac Bank has released several award-winning innovations along the way, including the Digital Banking toll-free app in a telecommunication network, digital incentives, and so on.
These distinguishing features have helped the Astha app become Bangladesh’s fastest-growing digital banking app. Last year, the bank’s digital banking growth expansion was nearly three times higher than the country’s entire sector. During this period, Astha App’s yearly digital transaction volume stood at Tk 33.5 thousand crore, and overall digital transactional counts reached about nine million.
Selim RF Hussain, CEO of Brac Bank; Erik Aas, CEO of Banglalink Digital Communication; Matiur Rahman, editor Prothom Alo; Solaiman Alam, chief digital and strategy officer of Grameenphone and Kamal Quadir, CEO of bKash Limited; Md Adil Hossain Noble, chief enterprise business officer of Robi Axiata; and Anand Tilak, Facebook and Google Technology Expert; officially unveiled the very first platform at a hotel in Dhaka on January 25.

They also took part in a panel discussion titled “Digital Disruptions and Cross Industry Collaboration,” which was hosted by Md Rashedul Hasan Stalin, senior vice president and head of Brac Bank’s Digital Business and Payments.
At this instance, Brac Bank aims to accelerate its cross-industry collaboration effort with existing and new digital enablement and lifestyle partners in order to sustain this growth.
