Software giant Salesforce has finally completed the acquisition of Slack with a mammoth USD 27.7 Billion. Salesforce first announced the plan to acquire slack on December last year and it took almost 8 months to finally close the deal.
This has been the largest ever acquisition till date by Salesforce. Last week, the Department of Justice told the company it closed its antitrust investigation of the deal, giving the green light for the transaction’s close.
“Together we’ll define the future of enterprise software, creating the digital HQ that enables every organization to deliver customer and employee success from anywhere,” Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said in a statement.
