Finally, all the hassles regarding payment in this digital world seem to come at an end here in Bangladesh. With the revolution of Digital Fintech services in Bangladesh – now, Visa has to take a step to make payments at ease. This time, it’s going to be pretty much more accessible.
Visa has announced that it’s going to launch a QR payment system in Bangladesh within the next one and half month. TR Ramachandran, country manager of Visa India and South Asia, has announced that in a press conference at Intercontinental Dhaka.

He said it would require only mobile banking apps which are linked to the debit, credit, or the prepaid card. He has also thanked Bangladesh Bank for the relevant guidelines toward the payment system which is being termed as the Bangla QR.
Reportedly, Mr. Ramachandran also added till now only 6% of the client was making payments through the digital services. He believes that it’s going to be an excellent opportunity for Visa to expand business in Bangladesh. He’s expecting to collaborate with at least 10-15 banks for this initiative as well as 1 Lakh merchants joining this initiative within next 6 Months.
