Spotify’s Paid Subscribers Reached 165 Million

According to the new earnings reports, Spotify has now reached 165 million premium subscribers which is an increase of 20% YoY from 158 million subscribers in same period last year. Monthly active users are now 365 million from 356 million in same period last year (up by 22%).

The company has continued its investment in both podcasting content and technology. The company recently acquired the rights of “Call Her Daddy”and “Dax Shepard’s” podcasts. Spotify has also acquired the rights of company podz which is a technology to automate process of creating preview clips.
