Instagram also experienced consistent growth, with its user base in Bangladesh increasing to 7.19 million by December 2024. Among Instagram users, the 18-24 age group accounted for 4.2 million, showcasing the platform’s increasing appeal among younger demographics. The platform maintained its upward trend, particularly in the first half of the year.

LinkedIn’s user base expanded significantly in 2024, reaching 9.95 million by the end of the year. The 25-34 age group remained the dominant demographic, with 4.7 million users from this segment. This growth underscores LinkedIn’s increasing relevance among professionals and job seekers in Bangladesh.

The sustained growth in social media usage indicates a deeper digital adoption among Bangladeshis. The younger population, particularly those aged 18-34, continues to drive engagement across platforms, making social media an essential aspect of both personal and professional interactions.

As internet penetration expands and digital habits evolve, social media is expected to play an even more integral role in Bangladesh’s communication and commerce landscape in 2025 and beyond.
