Olympic Industries Ltd is set to establish a new production line for powdered beverages at its Madanpur factory in Narayanganj. The company will invest approximately Tk 92.53 lakh in locally sourced machinery to support this expansion, according to a disclosure on the Dhaka Stock Exchange website stated in a report.
The new line will focus on producing two products SIPO Fruity Saline and orange-flavored powder drinks with a combined annual production capacity of 4,427 tonnes. Of this, 1,682 tonnes will be SIPO Fruity Saline, while 2,745 tonnes will be orange powder drinks. Installation and commissioning of the machinery will take place at the Narayanganj plant.
This development follows Olympic’s earlier investment of Tk 43.42 crore earlier this year to purchase land in Gazipur and Narayanganj for future expansion efforts.
Olympic Industries, a leading player in Bangladesh’s biscuit and confectionery market, reported a net profit of Tk 42.98 crore for the January–March quarter of 2025, reflecting a year-on-year increase of just over 1 percent.
As of 30 June, foreign investors held the largest portion of Olympic’s shares at 32.38 percent. Sponsors and directors owned 20.77 percent, while the remaining shares were held by institutional and general investors.
