Nestlé Bangladesh Appoints Deepal Abeywickrema As The New Chairman

Deepal Abeywickrema, the managing director of Nestlé Bangladesh PLC, has also been got appointed as the new chairman of the firm effective from April 6, 2023.

Before joining Nestle Bangladesh, Abeywickrema was Senior Vice-president (Sales) for Nestle Lanka Limited in Sri Lanka. He joined Nestle Lanka in 1985 in Sales function.

With over 30 years of experience at Nestlé, Deepal also served in India, Australia, Malaysia, and other countries where he gained a profound understanding of business dynamics.

Under the dynamic leadership of Deepal, Nestlé has been recognised as the leading nutrition, health, and wellness company in Bangladesh, ensuring long-term sustainable growth and creating shared value for society, reportedly said a press release.
