Nagad Wins The United Kingdom Based Global Brand Award 20222 min read
Nagad, a Bangladesh Postal Department mobile financial service provider, reportedly won the “Best Innovative Digital Financial Service Brand” at the 10th Global Brand Awards 2022, which took place recently in Dubai, in honor of its remarkable performance in the country’s MFS industry.
Simultaneously, Tanvir A Mishuk, Nagad’s founder and managing director, was named “Fintech Personality of the Year 2022”.
Every year, the UK-based Global Brands Magazine recognizes and rewards top brands from across the world for their outstanding achievement in many categories such as economics, education, lifestyle, innovation, technology, and real estate.
On December 10, the award ceremony was conducted at Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. Faisal Chowdhury, one of Nagad’s directors, and Samia Sharmin, senior manager of the Corporate Communications Department, accepted the honors on the company’s behalf.
Nagad has grown to become one of Bangladesh’s top mobile money operators within only three and a half years, owing to its exceptional success in bringing unbanked individuals into the fold of financial inclusion at a rapid rate through customer-friendly, simple, and affordable services.
The business has transformed the country’s MFS market, particularly by pioneering digital Know Your Customer (KYC), and has onboarded over 6.5 crore consumers to date. The state-owned MFS provider also contributes to the country’s socioeconomic growth by providing various safety allowances and education stipends at a reasonable cost.
