MetLife Bangladesh settles 1,384 Crore Taka claims in the first six months of 2026

MetLife Bangladesh has settled 1,384 Crore Taka claims in the first six months (January – June) of 2026. This amount includes the money customers receive as insurance benefits and claims for loss of life and medical needs.

MetLife Bangladesh’s Chief Executive Officer, Ala Ahmad, said, “The claims amount settled in the first six months of the year reflects our strong commitment to supporting customers and their families when they need us most. By continuously enhancing our claims process to make it faster, simpler, and more transparent, we aim to strengthen customer confidence and contribute to building greater trust in Bangladesh’s insurance sector.”

MetLife maintains a consistent track record of timely claims settlement. In the year 2025, MetLife Bangladesh settled the highest claims amount of 2,895 crore taka among all the life insurance companies in Bangladesh. During the year, MetLife has maintained a strong claims settlement ratio of 98%, also one of the highest settlement ratios in the industry.

MetLife’s proactive approach and efficient settlement of claims have resulted in customer satisfaction and enhanced trust in the insurance sector.
