Meta is testing a new feature that lets users add audio clips to Reels via the GIF “Clip Hub,” allowing for the incorporation of popular memes into photos and videos. Additionally, the platform is simplifying the editing process for in-progress Reels drafts, enabling users to preview, rename, and schedule drafts in advance, catering to the needs of on-the-go social media managers.

Meta is also improving search tools in the device’s camera roll, offering better previews, zoom functionality, and an overall user-friendly experience. Beyond these, Meta is enhancing Reels insights by expanding the definition of “Reels Plays” to include both initial plays and replays, potentially increasing Reels Plays statistics. Furthermore, a new Retention Chart for Reels content is in development, offering creators valuable insights into viewer interest and engagement over time.
