According to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission data, total number of internet connections has reached 12.1 crores in June 2021, which is an increase of 1.75 crore from same period last year. The increase is more than twice the increase of connections in FY 19-20.
Of the total internet connections 11.09 crores were mobile internet connection and the rest 1.01 crore was broadband internet connection. The total data consumption in the country increased to 2,409.08 Gbps in April 2021.
