Grameenphone, the leading telecommunications service provider puts much effort in terms of keeping up with the digital needs of its users. Accordingly, Grameenphone is all set to launch the sports and entertainment streaming services provided by Rabbitholebd through Direct Operator Billing (DOB).

Through this partnership, the users of Grameenphone can access various web contents of Rabbitholebd. Whether through app or website, users  now can purchase designated packages first their mobile airtime balance.

Interestingly, Grameenphone is the first one to initiate the direct operator billing system in Rabbitholebd. And one of the highlights of this partnership is that it enables the users to enjoy the latest cricket series of Bangladesh national cricket team. Additionally, there are diversified premium contents such as- IPL, EPL and such that can be enjoyed with Grameenphone 4G which aims to provide a smooth, buffer-free internet experience to its users.

Grameenphone got its permission from BTRC in January 2022 which specifies that the telco can operate digital content services through digital operator billing under certain conditions. The given conditions include that users can enjoy the service with a yearly limitation of BDT 3,000 and a monthly limitation of BDT 600.

The launch event of the partnership between Grameenphone and Rabbitholebd took place at GPHouse where Grameenphone’s Chief Digital and Strategy Officer Solaiman Alam; Khairul Basher, Head of Communications at Grameenphone; Kazi Hamidur Rahman, Head of DOB and API; ASM Rafiq Ullah, CEO of Content Matters Ltd; and other high officials from Grameenphone and its partners were also present.

Reportedly, Grameenphone’s CDSO Solaiman Alam said- the launch aims to redefine the experience of sports lovers and provides the access to premium content that falls under the genre of entertainment as well. Promoting Grameenphone’s vast digital ecosystem, the inclusive approaches reflect that this leading telco strives to spread the power of connectivity and targets a wider user base who can enjoy multi-dimensional services.
