Grameenphone, the country’s leading telecommunications service provider, has entered into a 10-year strategic partnership with Bangladesh Police to support the law enforcement agency through dedicated connectivity and digital services. The agreement covers Bangladesh Police’s official mobile number series (01320000000–01320299999) along with associated connectivity services for its official and solutions-based numbers. It also includes connectivity and related support for key digital platforms, including Online GD and the Crime Data Management System (CDMS) as stated in the Press release
The agreement was signed recently at the Bangladesh Police Headquarters in Dhaka by Mohammad Sharif Uddin, Additional DIG (Headquarters), Bangladesh Police, and Helal Uddin Ahmed, Head of Law Enforcement Agencies Business, Grameenphone, in the presence of Md. Ali Hossain Fakir, BPM, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Bangladesh Police, and Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer, Grameenphone. The signing ceremony was also attended by Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer, Grameenphone; Sayeda Tahya Hossain, Chief Human Resources Officer, Grameenphone; and senior officials from Bangladesh Police and Grameenphone.
