Uber Rentals: A Service For The Homebound People

Up until now, the COVID-19 pandemic took a great toll on Uber. To illustrate, it’s a ride,-hailing service that came down to 80%. Moreover, the company encountered  Uber lost $2.9 billion in the first quarter of 2020 and laid off 3,700 full-time employees. Besides, Uber eats is now history in Bangladesh.

Be that as it may, Uber outlined a series of measures it is taking to adapt its ride-hailing and delivery businesses to a world changed by COVID-19. Consequently,  Uber came up with a new service for homebound city dwellers in order to solve their transportation problems.

To put it differently, a lot of families released their drivers when the government enforced strict lockdown in order to flatten the curve of contagion by the end of March 2020. Even though, the lockdown is lifted yet many of those households are still without their chauffeurs and completely housebound. Therefore, to fill out the drawback,  Uber propelled on-demand rental service to serve the city residents. In other words, people who have been struggling to get a safe ride for a long journey.

Under the circumstance, Uber Rentals is an exclusive service in the ride-sharing market right now. Moreover, the company commits to providing a personalized experience to the passengers. In addition, it will allow them to book a car and its driver for several hours at a stretch and make multiple stops on a journey.

Given these points, Rides would conform to health guidelines and provide the highest possible safety standards. Moreover, this offers the drivers another opportunity to earn on the platform.

At this instant, the starting price of the service is Tk 899 for a two-hour and 20 kilometer-package. Alongside that, riders will have the option of selecting from multiple hourly packages that can be booked for up to a maximum of 10 hours.

Therefore, to avail of the new service, customers have to select “Uber Rentals” for trips on the app. Then they will have to select an hourly package. Such as two hours to 10 hours. At last, tap “Confirm Uber Rentals” in order to rent a ride.
