Banglalink Womentor, a mentoring program for promising female engineering students in the country, has officially held the closing ceremony for the 2nd batch of its recruits, said a press release . Monzula Morshed, Chief Human Resources & Administration Officer, Banglalink, Hasnat Reza Mahbub Alam, Acting Chief Technology Officer, Banglalink and Ayesha Saeed, Head of Talent Management, Banglalink delivered speeches for the departing batch at the ceremony. Inaugurated in 2020, Banglalink Womentor enables promising third- and fourth-year female engineering students to receive training on corporate career development from experienced female engineers working at Banglalink.

Following the opening of its application window in July 2021, Banglalink Womentor got overwhelming responses from enthusiastic participants from all over the country. A total of ten participants were selected for the program, and they were given the opportunity to have monthly one-on-one mentoring sessions with their respective mentors. Along with acquiring knowledge of the technologies applied in the telecom industry, they learned the skills required to build careers in the corporate sector.

Monzula Morshed, Chief Human Resources & Administration Officer, Banglalink said, “We are delighted to successfully conclude the second session of Banglalink Womentor. It was really encouraging to see the enthusiasm among these young women to learn from our experienced mentors, making this initiative live up to its promise. I am confident that they will use this experience to kick-start their careers in the right direction and will be role models for future batches of Banglalink Womentor.”

Hasnat Reza Mahbub Alam, Chief Technology Officer, Banglalink said, “Our key objective behind launching this program is to motivate female engineering students to pursue corporate careers in the future. The guidance and instructions given by our experienced female employees can enhance their skills significantly. With the technological and professional knowledge acquired from this program, they will be able to begin their professional lives with more confidence.”

Banglalink will continue to take initiatives for facilitating women empowerment in the country.
