According to the newly released Transparency Report for Q3 2022, the popular video-sharing site YouTube deleted 112,930 content from Bangladesh (July-September 2022). Between July 1, 2022, and September 30, 2022, Bangladesh allegedly ranked eighth in the world for the highest amount of videos removed for Community Guidelines violations.
With almost 1.7 million videos deleted from YouTube, India reportedly placed first in the world. During the same time period, over 5.6 million videos and 5.8 million channels were deleted globally, with 67.9% of content banned before receiving more than 10 views for violating Community Guidelines.
YouTube also removed over 737 million comments, the great majority of which were spam. More than 99% of removed comments were discovered automatically.
YouTube claims that its Community Guidelines are uniformly enforced across the world, regardless of where the video is published. When videos are deleted for breaking YouTube’s policies, they are removed internationally.
