Walton, a leading manufacturer of electronic appliances, recently launched the ‘Walton Solar Solution’ to provide services for 30 different solar-powered electrical products across five categories. These categories include solar panels ranging from 85 watts to 200 watts, various lighting solutions like DC bulbs, DC tubes, and motion wall lights, solar charge controllers from 10 to 20 amps, solar table fans, and DC cables.

According to Sohel Rana, Walton Electrical Appliance’s Chief Business Officer, the company has the capacity to produce between Tk 80 crore and Tk 100 crore worth of solar products for the fiscal year 2023-24. This production capacity is expected to fulfill 10-15 percent of Bangladesh’s demand for solar products.
Rana highlighted that Walton is ensuring the accessibility of these solar products by delivering them through a wide network of distributors, dealers, and retailers throughout the country. Additionally, Walton is offering a 20-year replacement warranty for its solar panels, emphasizing the high quality of their products.
He also noted the current demand for solar power in Bangladesh, which stands at 0.55 gigawatts. This demand is projected to increase to 2.84 gigawatts by 2029.
