TikTok Partners with Shopify To Allow Users Buy Through Shoppable Video Ads2 min read
On Tuesday, the Canadian e-commerce giant Shopify has announced its partnership with Bytedance owned TikTok to allow its merchants to promote their products through the video-sharing app. The decision will create another channel to grab consumer attention for Shopify’s one million-plus merchants as the e-commerce company is looking forward to increasing its customer base.
According to Shopify, the merchants can create shoppable video ads on TikTok and the users of TikTok can simply buy from the ads just by clicking. All the transactions will happen through the Shopify site allowing the Canadian eCommerce company gains more global traffic on its platform. Shopify and TikTok are also assumed to be testing new e-commerce features together in the upcoming days.

TikTok currently reaches 100+ million audiences per month. The recent political backlash has indeed put TikTok in a very shaky position in the US market. Although the speculation of Walmart buying a stake in TikTok can bring back the smiles on the faces of TikTok owners. However, the decision from Walmart is currently uncertain due to all those political strikes between the US and China.
