Robi Ramadan Campaign 2019- Iftar Vending Machine2 min read
[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n this sacred month of Ramadan, Robi and Bidyanondo Foundation have collaborated to come up with an innovative idea to help out the underprivileged children. What’s the idea? An Iftar Vending Machine!
This Ramadan, Robi users can contribute and help the needy ones through the Iftar Vending Machine.
Throughout this Ramadan, the underprivileged street children can have healthy iftar with just their fingerprint. How cool is that? But we as a consumer have some tasks to do as well. For every purchase of recharge bundle of BDT 43 or BDT 118, Robi would make a donation of BDT 2 or BDT 4 respectively to ensure iftar for the street children. Win-win situation! No matter which operator you use for your telecommunication, recharging is a part of our daily transactions. But A Robi user can surely become a part of the great cause.
Robi has created a heart melting AV to communicate this message to this customer. The execution has undoubtedly portrayed the inner context of the campaign.
A little boy sells paper all day long. At the end, he gets very small amount of remuneration from the owner. Right before iftar time his little sister meets him and asks whether they can afford iftar today? The brother worriedly rushes to a nearby shop but runs to his sister with empty hands.
Watch it first:
As the story continues, they both reach their slum, they meet another little boy who tells them about a nutritive iftar gathering. Then the brother sister duo along with other kids stand in an array of line and collects iftar from a vending machine named “Amar Iftar”.

Kudos to Robi and Bidyanondo for coming up with an innovative idea like the ” Iftar Vending Machine”. Many might argue about the concept of the campaign is not the first time we have seen, but the execution is one of its kind. Either ways a great initiative from Robi and an opportunity for the users to be a part of the noble cause!
