Pran, one of Bangladesh’s largest food processors and exporters, is eyeing up to $2 million in orders from international buyers at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. stated in a report.
At the expo, Pran is displaying a wide range of halal-certified ready-to-cook items, juices, noodles, biscuits, and spices. The event provides the company with a platform to deepen its footprint in the $3 billion global halal market, while opening new doors across ASEAN, South Asia, and Europe.
Malaysia has emerged as one of Pran’s strongest overseas markets, generating Tk 750 crore in food and beverage exports in the last fiscal year. The company’s steady expansion into both urban and rural markets reflects growing consumer trust in Bangladeshi brands, driven by competitive pricing and quality.
Industry insiders say Malaysia’s position as a global halal hub makes it a strategic gateway for exporters seeking to access wider regional demand. Success in this market signals readiness for expansion into neighboring countries such as Indonesia, Brunei, and beyond.
With consumer perceptions of Bangladeshi food improving and awareness of halal standards rising, Pran is set to further strengthen its international presence and serve as a key representative of Bangladeshi quality on the global stage.
