Novartis (Bangladesh) Limited has been renamed as Nevian Lifescience PLC, following the acquisition of its majority shares, stated in a report.
This milestone was achieved after fulfilling all necessary statutory and regulatory requirements, ensuring a seamless transition. The new entity, Nevian Lifescience PLC, assumes responsibility for the company’s rich legacy while ensuring patients in Bangladesh will have continued access to Novartis’ global brands and innovative, life-saving medicines. This will be done through both local manufacturing and import, upholding the same quality standards.
The company, with its EUGMP-certified manufacturing facility in Tongi, has also aligned with the pharmaceutical company Sandoz to continue with exports to global markets. Nevian Lifescience PLC is now focused on expanding its exports to Europe, the USA, and other developed countries, aiming to position Bangladesh as a dependable hub for high-quality pharmaceutical products.
