bKash, the country’s leading MFS giant has recently published its financial reports for the Fiscal Year of 2021. According to the report, Gross revenue grew by 21.8% YoY from Tk 26,245 Mn in 2020 to Tk 31,963 Mn in 2021.

The company once again had a great year in terms of growth and customers acquisition! However, the growth of business comes at a price which in this case of bKash refers to a significant increase in investment and expenses to capitalize on the growth trend of the industry.

Hence, Loss after tax for bKash increased by 83.0% YoY from Tk 674 Mn in 2020 to Tk 1,234 Mn in 2021. This is the third consecutive year that bKash had seen a loss after tax.
