Grameenphone, Chorki team up to bring premium entertainment  just a click away

In a major step towards simplifying digital entertainment access, Grameenphone, the country’s leading telecommunications provider, has partnered with Chorki, Bangladesh’s premier entertainment platform, to enable users to purchase premium subscriptions directly using their mobile balance, said in press release.

The announcement was made at an event held at Chorki’s office in Dhaka on 5th May, 2025 evening. Top officials from both Grameenphone and Chorki were present at the signing ceremony. Representing Grameenphone were Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yasir Azman, Chief Product Officer (CPO) Solaiman Alam, Zahiduz Zaman, Head of Digital Platform, Payment & Partnership, along with other senior executives. From Prothom Alo, Editor Matiur Rahman, Executive Editor Sajjad Sharif, Managing Editor Anisul Haque, Deputy Head of Finance Ankur Saha, and Chief Digital Business Officer Jabed Sultan Pias attended the event. Chorki was represented by its CEO Redoan Rony and Marketing & Growth Lead Faisal Rahman.

This new initiative marks a significant step in empowering users with easier, more convenient access to digital content. Grameenphone customers will now see “Grameenphone” listed as a payment method directly within the Chorki app and website when purchasing a premium subscription. As part of the launch offer, Grameenphone customers can now subscribe to Chorki’s premium content for three months at only BDT 289, payable directly from their mobile balance. This makes it easier than ever for users to access Chorki’s vast library of award-winning dramas, films, web series, and more.
