Grameenphone, the countryโs leading telecommunications service provider, has entered into a strategic partnership with Apon Bazaar, a garment-focused retail network, to extend digital connectivity and telecom services to Bangladeshโs ready-made garment (RMG) workforce through an innovative retail distribution model.
Under the agreement, Grameenphone has onboarded Apon Bazaar as a distribution partner and established a shop-in-shop retail model within Apon Bazaar outlets. Through this collaboration, Grameenphone products and services will become more accessible to garment workforce, a large and underserved customer segment with growing digital needs.
Customers visiting Apon Bazaar outlets will be able to access a range of Grameenphone offerings, including new SIM activations, SIM replacements, scratch cards, data packs, voice bundles, and combo packs.
The agreement was signed at GPHouse by Mohammad Shareef Mahmood Khan, Head of Sales & Distribution of Grameenphone, and Shaikh Saif Al Rashid, Founder & Managing Director of Apon Bazaar, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations. Representatives attending the signing ceremony included Farha Naz Zaman, Chief Marketing Officer, Sk. Iftekhar Ahmed, Head of Distribution and Md. Nasiruzzaman Choudhury, Head of Sales Planning from Grameenphone, and Shaikh Saif Al Rashid, Managing Director & Founder, Yasir Arafat, Director – Business, Rezwanul Ahasan Rupom, Operations Lead, Kaniz Ahmed, Manager – External & Corporate Affairs, Zinia Ibnat, Project Coordinator from Apon Bazaar.
