Facebook is the first non-resident organization to pay VAT in Bangladesh. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), one of the biggest accounting firm globally has filed for the VAT return on behalf of Facebook.
On 15th July, the returns were submitted to Dhaka South Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate. Facebook registered for VAT last month.
