Community Bank Bangladesh PLC has officially appointed Kimiwa Saddat as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (Current Charge), effective immediately, stated in report.

Prior to this new role, Saddat held the position of Deputy Managing Director at Meghna Bank PLC, where he made significant contributions since joining the institution in 2019. During his tenure, he led the Corporate Banking division along with other crucial units, playing a pivotal role in shaping Meghna Bank’s reputation as a trusted financial partner for leading corporate clients across Bangladesh.

Under his guidance, Meghna Bank earned multiple accolades, including its first international recognition – the Asian Banking and Finance Wholesale Banking Award in 2021 – alongside various other honors that highlighted the bank’s growth and innovation.

Saddat brings more than 22 years of robust experience in the banking sector, having worked with both domestic and global financial institutions. His career includes key roles at prominent banks such as Eastern Bank PLC, The City Bank PLC, and HSBC Bangladesh, where he was instrumental in transformation initiatives.

An alumnus of Dhaka University, Saddat holds an MBA in Finance. He is also a Certified Financial Consultant (CFC), accredited by the Institute of Financial Consultants (IFC), Canada.

His professional expertise spans across Corporate and SME lending, offshore banking, institutional credit, trade and business services, structured and supply chain finance, recovery and cash management, agent and lease banking, and Islamic finance.

Community Bank expressed confidence in Saddat’s strategic vision and leadership capabilities, emphasizing that his depth of experience will be vital in steering the bank toward sustained growth and solidifying its position within the competitive financial landscape of Bangladesh.
