BRAC Bank has signed a strategic Knowledge Partnership with Daffodil International University (DIU) under FINNOVISION, the bankโs SME Innovation Lab, to advance research-driven solutions for cottage, micro, small and medium enterprise (CMSME) sector in Bangladesh as stated in the Press Release.
The partnership brings together BRAC Bankโs expertise in SME banking and DIUโs academic and research capabilities to promote evidence-based innovation, impact assessment, knowledge exchange, and the co-creation of scalable solutions for sustainable CMSME development.
DIUโs Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Dean of Faculty Business & Entrepreneurship Professor Dr Mohammad Rokibul Kabir, BRAC Bankโs Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking Syed Abdul Momen, Head of Cottage, Micro & Small Business (Unit-1) Alomgir Hossain, Head of SME Strategy, Innovation & New Business Mohammad Jakirul Islam were present at the event.
FINNOVISION is BRAC Bankโs flagship SME Innovation Lab, focused on advancing the CMSME sector through four strategic pillars: womenโs entrepreneurship, smart agriculture, climate resilience, and the formalisation of cottage and microenterprises. By bringing together academia, industry and development partners, the platform seeks to develop innovative, inclusive and sustainable solutions that strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bangladesh.
