Bengal Commercial Bank Introduces ‘Bangla QR’ for Easier Payments1 min read
Bengal Commercial Bank PLC has embraced the innovative “Bangla QR” code, a payment solution introduced earlier by Bangladesh Bank, to enhance and simplify banking services stated in a report.
The bank’s managing director and CEO, Tarik Morshed, officially launched the Bangla QR payment system during a ceremony held at the bank’s head office in Dhaka, according to a press release.

With this new feature, clients of Bengal Commercial Bank can now make purchases quickly and conveniently without using cards or cheques. By scanning the Bangla QR code via the Bengal App, transactions become seamless and time-saving.
The event was attended by KM Awlad Hossain, additional managing director and chief business officer, Md Rafiqul Islam, deputy managing director and chief technology officer, Md Humayun Kabir, company secretary, as well as divisional heads and other senior officials of the bank.
This step marks a significant stride toward technology-driven, efficient banking services in Bangladesh.
