Bangladesh Achieves Record Electricity Production of 16,233 MW1 min read

On Monday at 9 pm, Bangladesh set a new record in its energy production history by generating 16,233 megawatts (MW) of electricity. Mir Mohammad Aslam Uddin, the Senior Information Officer at the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources, reportedly confirmed this achievement.

The announcement also addressed the current severe heatwave affecting the country, emphasizing the power sector’s commitment to maintaining a continuous electricity supply to support public welfare.

It is important to note that this new record surpasses the previous high of 15,666 MW, which was achieved just a day earlier, on Sunday.
