The Advertising Agencies Association of Bangladesh (AAAB) has successfully wrapped up Sharpener 2025, one of the nation’s most prestigious advertising competitions, bringing together the brightest young creative minds in Dhaka reportedly.

After an intense showdown among 12 top-tier advertising agencies, Team Bon Lee from agency Mighty emerged victorious. The powerhouse duo – Bondhon Das and Fazle Rabbi – will now proudly represent Bangladesh as Team Dhaka at the Asia Pacific Adfest 2025 Young Lotus Workshop.

Hosted by Dentsu, the Young Lotus Workshop 2025 promises to be an immersive experience, led by industry heavyweights Alice Chou (Chair of APAC & Taiwan dentsu Creative Council) and Hitoshi Hamaguchi (President of APAC Practices).

Under the theme “The Collision of Creativity, Creativity++,” the workshop will challenge participants to push boundaries, embrace new perspectives, and redefine innovation in advertising.

Dates: March 18-20, 2025
Venue: Royal Cliff Hotels Group, Pattaya, Thailand

Following the workshop, these young creatives will step onto an even bigger platform – ADFEST 2025 (March 20-22), where the best talents from across the Asia-Pacific region will compete for ultimate creative supremacy.

The Sharpener 2025 jury featured some of Bangladesh’s leading creative minds, including:
1) Akrum Hossain Shahin, Chief Creative Officer, Pop5
2) Saiful Azam Mukul, Executive Creative Director, Grey Dhaka
3) Taufique Mahmud, Executive Creative Director, Mediacom

This year’s competition was orchestrated under AAAB’s new Executive Committee (EC), marking a shift in leadership from its previous joint organization with Advertising Club Dhaka.

Exclusively open to individuals under 30 with at least one year of experience in advertising copywriting, concept development, or art direction, Sharpener 2025 is more than just a competition—it’s a launchpad for young creatives to shine on the international stage.

AAAB is committed to nurturing young talent, ensuring Bangladesh continues to make its mark in the global creative arena. With the winners of Sharpener 2025 heading to the Young Lotus Workshop, hopes are high that their creativity and innovation will elevate Bangladesh’s advertising industry to new heights.
