The First Creative Billboard of The Year-BBC Dracula

Stakes are seen in the day time, under the sun when you pass by the giant billboard of Dracula by BBC. A TV show created by the same minds as Sherlock. But as the night looms, slowly a Dracula emerges in the billboard. Time-lapse catches the masterpiece in action:

BBC Creative continues to appall everyone with their brilliant unorthodox campaigns for their shows. But it’s not the billboard that haunts the marketers, rather how simply the idea came to life. As night approaches, the billboard turns its lights on. And then everyone realizes, the bloody stakes are not meaninglessly strapped to the billboard. The stakes use the light of the billboard to create the Dracula in the canvas and perfectly demonstrates a marketing genius to remind us Dracula can’t be seen in the daytime.

To think of it, a Dracula billboard under the sun would look like an ignorant form of marketing, although no one would point the irony. But BBC Creative took it upon themselves to make the most of their situation.

But the surprising spookiness doesn’t end there. Both the billboards in London and Birmingham also have a sign below that says “In case of vampires break the glass.” Chris Hooper, head of marketing at BBC One thinks they were able to catch the swagger and dark humor that reflects the fresh take on the classic character including the cheeky campaign line “Bloody Legend”.

Truly the show is filled with dark humor with a pint of spookiness that leaves the Million viewers with sleepless nights. And the billboard catches it all – by day, a random assortment of stakes dipped into the heart of a billboard, but by night, the count appears, transformed through the blessings of the shadow.

So, are you as excited as us to experience Dracula- the new creation of BBC?
