Zambia Invites Bangladesh To Forge New Frontiers In Pharmaceuticals And Trade1 min read
Zambia has extended an invitation to Bangladesh to explore the establishment of a pharmaceutical plant within its borders, signaling a new chapter in economic collaboration between the two nations. Alongside this proposal, Zambia has also expressed keen interest in importing pharmaceutical products from Bangladesh reportedly.
The offer was presented during a courtesy call by Percy P Chanda, Zambia’s newly appointed high commissioner to Bangladesh (resident in New Delhi), on Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, according to a press release.

Beyond pharmaceuticals, the meeting unveiled a broader vision for trade expansion. Zambia is eager to import jute and jute products from Bangladesh, while also offering Bangladesh the opportunity to source copper from its rich reserves.
Discussions further explored avenues for deeper cooperation, including ventures in agriculture and contract farming. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and fostering a mutually beneficial trade partnership, laying the groundwork for a dynamic economic relationship.
