Summit Group, Bangladesh’s largest infrastructure conglomerate, has appointed Jafer Ummeed Khan as the new chairman of Summit Oil and Shipping Limited. Concurrently, Latif Khan assumes the role of chairman at Summit Power Limited. Both Jafer Ummeed Khan and Latif Khan were previously serving as vice-chairmen of their respective businesses, according to a statement released today by Summit Group.

Muhammed Aziz Khan will continue to serve as the chairman of Summit Corporation, the holding company of Summit Group’s power generation assets, as well as Summit Power International in Singapore. Additionally, he will retain directorship positions in other key companies within the Summit Group umbrella.
