Wild tigers, once thriving symbols of natural beauty and cultural heritage, are now perilously close to extinction. With fewer than 4,900 remaining in the wild, over 96% of their natural habitat has been lost to human activity. The illegal wildlife trade, valued at a staggering $20 billion annually, has driven tiger populations to collapse in countries like Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. Populations in China, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar also teeter on the edge of extinction.
Through this film and other educational initiatives, Save Wild Tigers seeks to inspire action, especially among younger generations, to protect these majestic creatures and their dwindling habitats. Plans are underway to expand these conservation efforts throughout Southeast Asia, empowering communities to reverse the decline of one of the planet’s most iconic species.
