Now You Can ‘Add Money’ From Your Mastercard to bKash1 min read
[dropcap]S[/dropcap]eems like bKash the MFS giant of Bangladesh is having a roll in introducing new services to ensure the convenience of local consumers. This time bKash has launched its new addition through which one can now transfer money from your Mastercard to bKash from anywhere anytime.
This service will enable any Mastercard (Debit/Credit/Prepaid) to connect with any bKash account for transaction purpose. Surely, this revolutionary addition is a milestone achieved to conquer the vision 2021 to become digital Bangladesh.
The launching event took place at a Dhaka Hotel yesterday and was attended by Mashiur Rahman, economic affairs adviser to the prime minister; Kamal Quadir, CEO of bKash; Kamal Hossain, managing director of Southeast Bank; and Syed Mohammad Kamal, country manager for Mastercard Bangladesh.
To move funds:
- Click ‘Add Money” option on the bKash App
- Then Select ‘Card to bKash’
- Finally provide the account number and the other card details to complete the transaction (You need to enter the one-time password provided to the associated bKash number).
The introduction of such service is a result of the collaboration between three giant organizations; bKash, Mastercard and South East Bank. South east bank’s Mastercard payment gateway will be used by bKash to run the whole process.
With this action we might see Mastercard come up with products that specially designed for the local audience of bKash. Needless to say, bKash is surely driving Bangladesh towards a cashless economy and to its endless opportunities.
