Nagad’s Recent Campaign Honors the Lifetime Service of Post Office Workers with Nagad Uddokta2 min read
Nagad has recently introduced a new incentive for the Postal Department workers where all postmen or bearers under the Bangladesh Postal Department can now become Uddokta (entrepreneurs) of Nagad if they want upon their retirement.
There is a famous saying that people forget what others say to them and do for them, but that one thing that remains in the heart is how others made them feel about something. We hardly see a strong link in work and emotion, but whenever these two are combined- they fall in the book of “lifetime achievements”.
The recent OVC of Nagad has beautifully captured hard work, dedication and honored that combination with their meaningful effort. Falling under the umbrella of innovative and age old financial authority of Bangladesh Post Office, Nagad serves country’s people through its digital and financial services. Transcending the concept of postal department, Nagad has evolved digitally with the passage of time. The story of this particular OVC is a dignified example how an age-old habit can be channeled into a new beginning.
The Storyboard
A post master who dedicated his 25 years of life in a post office, sets a new path towards retirement. With so many emotions of the past, the post master experiences a void inside. Old habits wake him up in the morning and takes him back to the streets he once rode with his cycle.
All on a sudden the neighborhood buzzes with new activities, and the invitation of a Friday evening leaves everyone with curiosity. When the day comes, the post master gets surprised by all the arrangements that are made for him. The very moment when the emotion gets multiplied is when Tamim says that all of those years the post master delivered on one’s doorstep but now everyone will come to him. With the inauguration of “labh-er Bazaar” – the post master takes his seat as “Nagad Uddokta”.
This OVC manifests in the fact that profits or results are unparalleled when it comes to respecting attachments and dedication. Nagad invites all the retired post masters to be their “Nagad Uddokta” and work with a new chapter. While this is a wonderful initiative, Nagad sends a strong message that every ending can be a new beginning.
