MetLife Bangladesh has settled 2,853 Crore Taka in insurance claims in 2025, reinforcing its position as the country’s leading life insurer in claims settlement. This amount includes the money customers received as insurance benefits and claims for loss of life and medical needs, as stated in the press release.
During the year, MetLife Bangladesh maintained an impressive claims settlement ratio of 98%, one of the highest in the industry.
Of the total claims settled, 313 Crore Taka was paid in health and medical claims; 110 Crore Taka in death claims; and 2,430 Crore Taka in maturity, partial maturity, and other claims.
MetLife Bangladesh continues to settle the highest volume of claims among all life insurers in the country. The company settled 2,895 Crore Taka in claims in 2024, 2,981 Crore Taka in 2023, and 2,548 Crore Taka in 2022.
