MetLife Bangladesh settled 2,895 crore taka claims in 2024. This amount includes the money customers received as insurance benefits and claims for loss of life and medical needs, according to press release.

MetLife Bangladesh’s Chief Executive Officer, Ala Ahmad, said, “The most important part of a customer’s insurance journey is receiving claims. We have relentlessly worked to improve our efficiency in settling claims quickly, adapting to ways that makes it more convenient for customers. Our efforts are directed to further strengthening confidence and establishing a greater trust in Bangladesh’s insurance sector.”

Of the total claims settled, claims for health and medical expenses were 237 crore Taka, death claims amounted to 140 crore Taka; and maturity, partial maturity and others were a total of 2,518 crore Taka.

MetLife Bangladesh has, over the last 5 years (2020 – 2024) settled over 11,400 crore Taka as insurance claims.

Customers of MetLife Bangladesh enjoy the best claims receiving experience as they can submit their claims request online and receive claims money within 3-5 working days. MetLife’s proactive approach and efficient settlement of claims have resulted in customers satisfaction and enhanced trust in insurance sector.
